Single channel high noise level ECG deconvolution using optimized blind adaptive filtering and fixed-point convolution kernel compensation
The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm renders a much-improved performance in removing the noise from ECG signals, especially in a scenario where signal to noise ratio is negative. Moreover, the noninvasive fetal ECG dataset (NI-FECG) provided by Physionet is also used for fetal ECG extraction by a single thoracic channel. By comparing fetal ECG extraction methods in the literature and the proposed method, it reveals that the proposed method can extract the QRS complex of fetal ECG by a single thoracic channel as accurate as other methods which use abdominal channels.

Development of a low-cost and portable smart fluorometer for detecting breast cancer cells
We demonstrate that the developed fluorometer is able to distinguish between the cancer cell expressing GFP and the control cell. The fluorometer we developed exhibits immense potential for future applicability in the selective detection of fluorescently-labelled breast cancer cells.

A Low-Cost and Portable Smart Instrumentation for Detecting Colorectal Cancer Cells
A near-infrared fluorescent protein IRFP702 was expressed in the colorectal cancer cells that were used to test the proof-of-concept. The fluorescent cancer cells were first tested with a commercial imaging system (Odyssey® CLx) and then with the developed prototype to validate the result in a preclinical setting. The developed fluorimeter is versatile as it can also be used to detect multiple types of cancer cells by simply replacing the filters based on the fluorophore.

Reliability Analysis of Io VT Based Intelligent Video Surveillance System
This paper proposes a different framework to analyze the system via the concept of reliability. The existing approaches depend solely upon the system input sequences. However, the proposed framework works on the component statistical index. Based on exponential distribution theory of reliability, the reliability of the intelligent VSS is analyzed in this paper, followed by a complete guideline to improve the current reliability of the system

Is there an application for wireless capsule endoscopy in horses?
This pilot study assessed wireless capsule endoscopy in horses. Image transmission was achieved with good image quality. Time to exit the stomach was variable and identified as one limitation, together with gaps in image transmission, capsule tumbling, and inability to accurately locate the capsule. Findings demonstrate usefulness and current limitations.

Optimum number of receive only surface coil optimized for Imaging Brain at 7T
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has a potential to increase signal-to-noise ratio in order to produce clear anatomical as well as functional images of human. Different types of coil has different kind of advantage. TEM coil has an ability to produce homogeneous B1 field but with low SNR while surface coil has a capability of providing us with increased SNR. This paper makes the use of increasing number of receive only surface coil arrays (in varying number) in order to increase SNR.

EFFECTIVE ARRANGEMENT OF OPTIMUM NUMBER OF TEM COILS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF B1 FIELD HOMOGENEITY AROUND THE HEAD OF HUMAN PHANTOM AT 7 TESLA
In this paper, the performance of different coil is compared based on number of channel and the generation of homogeneous B1 field in the head. The number of channel (4, 6, 8, 10 and 12) of Tx/Rx coil will be varied in order to compare SNR, signal intensity (SI) and B1 field homogeneity utilizing B1 mapping sequence.
